Sovo International School is a new-age K–12 institution where "classroom meets the real world." We offer Playclass to Grade 4 (expanding each year) and integrate the IB philosophy with experiential models such as our Fifth Gear Programme, where students build real-world projects with industry mentors. Our goal is to develop future-ready learners through inquiry, design thinking, global exposure, and strong communication skills.

Role Overview

We are seeking an accomplished Principal with strong IB experience and exceptional communication skills to lead the academic, cultural, and operational excellence of Sovo. The Principal will be the face of the school - deeply involved in curriculum leadership, teacher development, parent communication, community building, and establishing high standards in teaching and learning.

Key Responsibilities1. Academic Leadership (IB-focused)

• Lead the implementation of IB PYP (and later MYP/DP) framework across all grades.
• Ensure alignment between IB philosophy and Sovo's applied learning model (Fifth Gear real-world projects).
• Oversee lesson planning, inquiry practices, assessments, evaluations, and student portfolios.
• Maintain compliance with IB standards & practices and manage authorization & evaluation cycles.

2. School Operations & Culture

• Establish a positive, inclusive, safe, and high-performance school culture.
• Develop yearly academic calendars, event plans, learning journeys, and student showcases.
• Lead admissions presentations, parent walkthroughs, and community events — being the school's chief communicator and ambassador.
• Ensure smooth day-to-day operations in coordination with administrative staff.

3. Teacher Hiring, Training & Performance

• Recruit and build a world-class teaching team aligned with IB pedagogy.
• Conduct regular teacher observations, coaching sessions, and professional development workshops.
• Implement systems for teacher evaluation, growth plans, and quality assurance.

4. Parent Engagement & Communication

• Lead parent orientations, open houses, PTMs, and community seminars.
• Communicate with clarity, empathy, and authority—both in writing and in person.
• Address parent concerns with transparency, professionalism, and solution-driven thinking.

5. Strategic Leadership

• Support the founder in shaping long-term vision, academic strategy, and school expansion.
• Implement data-driven decision-making using student progress data, teacher performance metrics, and feedback.
• Strengthen brand presence by collaborating on social media content, events, and academic showcases.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7 years of teaching experience in IB PYP (mandatory).
• At least 3+ years in a leadership role (Coordinator / Vice Principal / Principal) in an IB school.
• Strong understanding of IB Standards & Practices, inquiry-based learning, and progressive education.
• Exceptional English communication — written, spoken, and presentation skills.
• Bachelor's/Master's in Education or related field.
• Experience working with early years and primary students preferred.

Pay: ₹160, ₹170,000.00 per month
