Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and highly motivated Modular Furniture Production Supervisor to oversee our production operations, manage a dynamic team, and ensure efficient and accurate manufacturing of modular furniture products. This role requires a strong understanding of furniture production processes, the ability to lead a team, and proficiency in planning production schedules and preparing detailed cut lists for fabrication. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented problem solver with a hands-on approach to managing production workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Team Management:

  2. Lead, train, and supervise a team of production workers, ensuring they adhere to safety standards, quality guidelines, and production schedules.

  3. Provide guidance, mentoring, and performance feedback to improve team efficiency and skill development.

  4. Coordinate shift schedules and manage workforce allocation to ensure optimal production capacity.

  5. Production Planning:

  6. Plan and schedule daily, weekly, and monthly production operations to meet customer demands and delivery timelines.

  7. Review production orders, specifications, and drawings to determine material requirements, work assignments, and timeframes.

  8. Collaborate with procurement and inventory management teams to ensure raw materials are available on time.

  9. Cut List Preparation:

  10. Generate detailed cut lists for the production team based on CAD drawings, design specifications, and material availability.

  11. Ensure accuracy in measurements and specifications to prevent errors during manufacturing.

  12. Review and optimize cut lists to minimize waste and reduce production costs while maintaining product quality.

  13. Quality Control:

  14. Ensure that all modular furniture produced meets the company's quality standards and specifications.

  15. Monitor production processes to identify and address any issues or inefficiencies.

  16. Conduct regular inspections and audits of completed products and the work environment.

  17. Process Improvement:

  18. Identify opportunities to streamline production processes and enhance team performance.

  19. Implement best practices and standardized operating procedures for the production process.

  20. Reporting and Documentation:

  21. Maintain accurate records of production activities, including output, materials used, labor hours, and any production delays.

  22. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports for management.

  23. Collaboration and Communication:

  24. Communicate effectively with other departments (design, engineering, logistics) to ensure smooth production flows.

Software/Tools:

Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.) for reporting and documentation.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including standing, walking, and lifting heavy objects.

Comfortable working with tools, machinery, and power equipment.
