The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and strategically-minded Manager/Executive, Business Development & Strategy to drive the growth and expansion of our plant and agri-products business. This is a critical role that requires a blend of advanced business knowledge (MBA), sharp analytical skills, and exceptional communication ability to forge strong relationships and execute effective market strategies.

The ideal candidate will translate complex agricultural and market data into actionable business plans, communicate those plans clearly to internal teams and external stakeholders (including distributors and large farmers), and lead key growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Growth & Analysis:
  • Conduct in-depth market research on agro-product trends, competitor activities, and farmer needs in the Akot region and beyond.
  • Develop and propose new business expansion strategies for high-demand plant varieties, seed lines, and nursery services.
  • Perform financial modeling and feasibility analysis for new projects, investments, and capital expenditure proposals.
  • Business Development & Stakeholder Management (Good Communication):
  • Lead all communication and negotiation with major distributors, institutional clients, FPOs (Farmer Producer Organizations), and government bodies.
  • Create and deliver persuasive and data-driven presentations to senior management and external partners, clearly articulating business value and strategy.
  • Serve as a key liaison, gathering feedback from the field (farmers, retailers) and communicating insights back to the production and R&D teams.
  • Operational Excellence:
  • Optimize the supply chain and distribution network for plants and agro-inputs to ensure timely and quality delivery to various market points.
  • Monitor and report on key business performance indicators (KPIs), sales targets, and inventory levels.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Master of Business Administration (MBA) is mandatory. A specialization , Finance, or Strategy is a significant advantage.
  • Communication Excellence:
  • Outstanding verbal communication skills in English, Hindi, and Marathi (or a relevant regional language) to effectively engage with a diverse set of stakeholders from corporate leadership to rural farmers.
  • Exceptional written communication skills for creating professional business proposals, strategic documents, and concise reports.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of post-MBA experience in Business Development, Strategy, Sales, or Operations, preferably within the Agri-Input, Agro-Biotech, or Horticulture sector.
  • Analytical Acumen: Proven ability to analyze complex business problems, define strategic options, and structure effective solutions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹11, ₹51,605.20 per month
