Overview The Telecom Architect plays a vital role in the planning, design, and implementation of telecommunications systems within the organization. This role requires a deep understanding of telecommunications technologies, industry standards, and best practices. Through collaboration with cross-functional teams, the Telecom Architect assesses organizational needs, evaluates emerging technologies, and oversees the deployment of robust telecommunications solutions that are scalable and efficient. This position not only supports operational performance but also enables the organization to adapt to evolving market trends and customer requirements.Key Responsibilities
  • Design telecommunications architecture to meet organizational requirements.
  • Evaluate and recommend telecommunication solutions and vendors.
  • Lead the development and deployment of telecommunication projects.
  • Assess new technologies to improve communication systems.
  • Collaborate with IT and network teams to align strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with industry and governmental regulations.

  • Perform capacity planning for future telecommunications needs.
  • Interface with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide updates.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in telecommunications, computer science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in telecommunications architecture or systems engineering.
  • Proven expertise in designing and implementing network systems.
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols, infrastructures, and standards.
  • Experience with cloud-based telecommunications solutions.
  • Familiarity with telecommunications security practices and protocols.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Project management experience, preferably with certification.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with vendor evaluation and management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency with design tools and telecommunications software.
  • Experience in capacity planning and performance engineering.
  • Ability to stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Certification in network architecture or related field is a plus.
