Position Title: Senior Engineer STA (Supplier Technical Assistance)

Company: Tata Toyo Radiator Ltd.

Location: Chakan, Pune

Experience: 6–8 Years

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Drive New Product Development (NPD) activities post-commercial finalization.

  2. Conduct feasibility reviews and coordinate with TTR Engineering to close deviations or corrections.

  3. Manage PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) for all NPD parts.

  4. Perform supplier capacity assessments to ensure production readiness.

  5. Execute new supplier evaluations and approvals as per company standards.

  6. Oversee Supplier BOP DVP (Design Validation Plan) execution and compliance.

  7. Participate in Design Reviews (DR) with the Engineering team.

  8. Support clearance of quality-hold materials at Incoming due to NPD part issues.

  9. Monitor APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) phases and provide timely updates to Program Management.

  10. Manage development part trials (T0–T2) and communicate corrections to NPD QA.

  11. Conduct internal PPAP audits at supplier locations.

  12. Ensure availability of gauges, fixtures, and tooling for production readiness at supplier end.

  13. Coordinate and finalize packaging approval and sign-off with the plant team.

  14. Monitor NPD parts for SOP + 3 months, focusing on customer complaints, line fitment, and production issues.

  15. Handover NPD parts to series production with confirmed cycle time approval.

  16. Manage engineering changes and NDRN (New Design Release Note) implementation at supplier end.

Key Skills & Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of APQP, PPAP, and Supplier Quality Systems.
  • Hands-on experience with supplier development, tooling, and process validation.
  • Knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes and quality standards.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and exposure to ERP systems (SAP preferred).
