About the Role

We are looking for a highly creative and politically-aware Political Social Media Manager to lead the digital voice of a major Puducherry political campaign. The role requires strong storytelling skills, fast response capability, and the ability to convert local issues into compelling, high-impact digital content across platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Lead daily political content creation across social media platforms

Create reels, issue-based posts, short videos, scripts, and campaign messages

Track local issues, protests, grievances, public sentiment, and government failures and convert them into fast content

Work closely with field teams to turn on-ground footage into digital narratives

Coordinate with designers, editors, and political analysts for issue notes and messaging

Plan and execute issue campaigns, fact checks, and narrative-building content

Manage online reputation: comments, public questions, local sentiment

Maintain a content calendar aligned with political events and constituency needs

Monitor digital trends and create region-specific viral content

Analyse social media performance and optimise reach, engagement, and impact

Requirements

Strong command over Tamil & English (writing + speaking)

Ability to write crisp, sharp, politically relevant content

Deep interest in politics, governance, election campaigns, and public issues

Knowledge of Puducherry's local issues, constituencies, and political climate

Experience creating reels, storytelling videos, and issue-based social media

Comfortable working in fast-paced, time-sensitive situations

Basic design/video editing skills (Canva/CapCut) are an added advantage

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in political social media, digital marketing, journalism, content writing, or political consulting

Track record of managing pages, campaigns, or public figures on social media
