We are seeking a highly skilled, hands-on Technical Leader capable of operating as both an onsite technical lead and a senior full-stack engineer. The ideal candidate is an expert in modern JavaScript/TypeScript architectures, with deep proficiency in React on the front end and NestJS and/or Python on the backend. This role requires strong communication, technical ownership, and the ability to guide engineering teams in delivering scalable, high-quality software solutions.

Experience in media, content, audience intelligence, or marketing technology ecosystems (e.g., BrightTalk, Informa, TechTarget, BrightEdge) is a plus.

Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Leadership

• Act as the onsite technical lead, providing architectural direction, technical oversight, and hands-on support across multiple workstreams.
• Establish and enforce engineering best practices, coding standards, and scalable design patterns.
• Lead solution architecture discussions and translate business requirements into robust technical designs.
• Drive decisions on frameworks, integrations, security, data flows, and cloud infrastructure.
• Partner closely with Product, Design, Data, DevOps, and QA teams to ensure aligned and high-quality delivery.

Team Management & Mentorship

• Mentor, coach, and develop engineers at varying levels, promoting a culture of learning and accountability.
• Conduct structured code reviews, provide technical feedback, and support career growth.
• Maintain clear communication across distributed teams, ensuring alignment on scope, timelines, and technical direction.

Full-Stack Engineering

• Contribute to complex feature development, architectural foundations, and performance optimization.
• Build scalable front-end applications using React, TypeScript, and modern state management.
• Develop backend services in NestJS and Python, including microservices, asynchronous jobs, and API frameworks.
• Ensure resiliency, security, observability, and performance across systems.

Delivery & Execution

• Lead technical estimation, sprint planning, and roadmap execution.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks, dependencies, and architectural bottlenecks.
• Implement metrics, logging, and monitoring to maintain system health.
• Collaborate with product and project leaders to ensure predictable and high-quality releases.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 4+ years in senior technical leadership.
• Deep expertise in React, TypeScript, modern frontend tooling, and modular UI architectures.
• Strong proficiency in NestJS, , or Python backend frameworks.
• Solid understanding of relational/non-relational databases, caching, and scalable data modeling.
• Hands-on experience with AWS/Azure/GCP, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization.
• Proven ability to lead engineering teams within mid-size or enterprise settings.
• Exceptional communication skills and ability to translate complex concepts for diverse audiences.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and ownership mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in MediaTech, Content Marketing, Audience Intelligence, or Digital Publishing.
• Familiarity with content delivery, personalization, SEO, analytics, or audience engagement systems.
• Exposure to data engineering, search technologies, or ML-driven recommendation systems.
• Experience modernizing legacy platforms or leading major platform transformations.
