Job Description:

Job Summary:

The Deputy Manager / Manager - Technical will oversee technical operations, ensure adherence to testing standards, manage client relationships, and drive process improvements. This role requires expertise in Vibration, IP, ATEX (Explosionproof/Flameproof), Cables and Enclosures, and Appliances Testing (Temperature Measurement, HV, Insulation Resistance, Humidity Conditioning). The individual will lead a team of engineers and technicians to achieve organizational goals and ensure quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Operations:

  1. Supervise and manage testing activities, ensuring compliance with relevant standards (ISO, IEC, ATEX, etc.).
  2. Develop and implement testing protocols and procedures.
  3. Monitor the performance of technical equipment and coordinate maintenance and calibration.
  4. Conduct failure analysis and provide technical solutions for clients.

Team Leadership:

  1. Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers and technicians.
  2. Conduct training sessions to enhance the technical competencies of the team.
  3. Oversee task assignments, workload distribution, and performance evaluations.

Client Engagement and Reporting:

  1. Act as the primary technical contact for clients, addressing queries and ensuring requirements are met.
  2. Prepare and review detailed test reports and technical documents for accuracy and completeness.
  3. Provide technical support and recommendations to clients based on test outcomes.

Quality Assurance and Compliance:

  1. Ensure all testing processes comply with national and international standards.
  2. Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to address any non-conformities and implement corrective actions.

Process and Business Development:

  1. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  2. Support business development by participating in client meetings and presenting technical capabilities.
  3. Stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and standards in the testing industry.

 Qualifications and Skills:

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, or related fields).

Experience:

  • 8–10 years of relevant experience in testing, quality assurance, or technical operations.
  • At least 3–5 years in a supervisory or managerial role.

Technical Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of Vibration, IP, ATEX, and electrical safety testing.
  • Hands-on experience with testing equipment and troubleshooting.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Certifications (Preferred):

  • Certifications in Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
  • ATEX or similar technical certifications.

Key Competencies:

  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving.

  • Proficiency in technical documentation and report writing.
