Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Head Chef based in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. The Head Chef will oversee daily kitchen operations, including menu creation, food preparation, and inventory management. Responsibilities include Training and managing kitchen Staff, ensuring kitchen Safety Standards, maintaining SOPs, Food Quality and Creativity in dishes, and effectively controlling Food Costs. Collaboration with management to meet customer expectations and create memorable dining experiences is key to this role.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge in various cuisines, mainly, Indian, Mediterranean, Continental and Indo-Chinese.
  • In-depth knowledge of menu planning, food preparation, and cooking techniques
  • Strong leadership, team management, and kitchen staff training skills
  • Inventory management and cost control abilities
  • Proficiency in creating innovative and high-quality dishes
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene standards, and regulations
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment in a fast-paced kitchen
  • Professional culinary certification or degree is preferred but not mandatory
  • Prior experience in a similar role, particularly in the hospitality industry
