Role Description

• Infrastructure Core Products (ICP) - Global Network Services (GNS) is responsible for the engineering, development, and operation of DB's Group-wide network for all areas of the Bank. GNS supports all aspects of network infrastructure in over 2500 offices in 50 countries.
• NCT will be responsible for complex network deployments while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery and high network availability. The individual should not only be technically sound but also passionate about innovation, continuous learning, and driving meaningful change.

Your key responsibilities

• Execute deployment of network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems across multiple sites
• Deploy identified automated network solutions using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible
• Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to improve network design, optimize performance, and reduce latency
• Document deployment procedures, network diagrams, and configurations
• Maintain strong relationships with vendors and service providers

Your skills and experience

• Up to 2 years of experience with working in a corporate global network environment, ideally with financial institutions
• Understanding of networking protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, STP, VXLAN, etc.)
• Experience with hardware from Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Fortinet or equivalent
• Demonstrated ability to challenge assumptions constructively and influence change
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Possess learning agility, innovation, and a proactive mindset
• Good to have-
  • Exposure to Infrastructure as a code and keenness to learn it
  • Working knowledge of network automation tools and scripting languages like YAML, JSON, or Python
  • Working knowledge of version control systems, preferably Git
• Certified technical engineer (typically Cisco CCNA or comparable)
• The role requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends due to business requirements
