Responsibilities

  • Machine operation: Set up and operate VMC machines to produce parts, which includes loading materials, fixtures, and tools.
  • Blueprint interpretation: Read and interpret engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to understand machining requirements.
  • Quality control: Conduct quality checks on finished parts to ensure they meet specifications and tolerances.
  • Tooling and setup: Select appropriate cutting tools, set tool offsets, and make adjustments to machine settings and feed/rapid rates as needed.
  • Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor troubleshooting on the machinery.
  • Safety and efficiency: Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Documentation: Maintain production data and records of machine performance.
