Role Description

Job Summary:

We are looking for a proactive and technically strong Cloud Database Administrator (DBA) with experience in AWS RDS/Aurora, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing cloud-based database environments, ensuring performance, availability, and security, and supporting 24×7 operations in a shift-based model.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provision, configure, and manage Amazon RDS instances for SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
  • Monitor database health and performance using Amazon CloudWatch, Performance Insights, and custom metrics.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks including patching, backups, and snapshot management.
  • Support database migrations using AWS DMS, including CDC setup and validation.
  • Troubleshoot performance issues, optimize queries, and manage storage and IOPS.
  • Implement and enforce database security, encryption (KMS), and access controls.
  • Participate in a 24×7 shift rotation to support production and critical environments.
  • Collaborate with application, DevOps, and infrastructure teams for deployments and incident resolution.
  • Document standard operating procedures and contribute to automation initiatives.

Qualifications 

  • 4-6 years of work experience in relevant field
  • B.Tech/B.E/M.Tech or MCA degree from a reputed university. Computer science background is preferred
