Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Humanities Teacher to join our Podar International School (CIE) at Nerul, Mumbai on a full-time basis. This mid-level position requires a strong background in humanities education and teaching methodologies. Candidates should have a minimum of 4 years and a maximum of 6 years of teaching experience, with a focus on fostering an empowering and integrated learning experience for students.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven experience in lesson planning and creating engaging educational content for the subject of humanities.
  • Strong classroom management skills to maintain a conducive learning environment and effectively engage with students.
  • Familiarity with the Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) system is considered essential for the role.
  • Sound knowledge of humanities subjects, enabling a comprehensive teaching approach tailored to diverse student profiles.
  • Experience in curriculum development to align with institutional standards and student needs.
  • Ability to incorporate collaborative learning techniques, encouraging student interaction and teamwork.
  • Proficiency in using innovative teaching methods and technology to enhance the educational experience.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with the educational objectives of the Podar Education Network.
  • Foster an engaging and positive classroom atmosphere conducive to student participation and learning.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to maximize their academic performance.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators to ensure the implementation of best practices in teaching and assessment.
  • Stay current with educational trends and integrate new strategies into the teaching curriculum where applicable.
  • Organize and participate in faculty meetings, professional development workshops, and school events as required.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student attendance, grades, and other required documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student performance and school initiatives.
