Employee Technology Services (ETS) seeks a Technical Engineer to guide technology strategy, decision making, and technical delivery for ongoing support and enhancements to our HR System, Workday.About the Role:
  • Provide expert technical support and delivery for Workday, ensuring consistent implementation, service, and maintenance.
  • Lead initiatives to reduce incident rates and improve service recovery, collaborating with 1st line operations.
  • Ensure all aspects of operability are delivered, maintaining or improving service levels and complying with operational standards and best practices.
  • Serve as a point of escalation for technical issues and provide subject matter expertise for Workday.
  • Produce and maintain system documentation in line with control standards.
  • Contribute to improved operability for new and existing systems through innovative technical solutions.
  • Own risk and issue identification, resolution, and root cause analysis.
  • Develop and manage detailed implementation and project plans across multiple work streams.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams, vendors, and stakeholders to support environments and resolve application issues.
  • Adhere to and improve change management procedures, ensuring coordination and minimal service disruption.
  • Provide specialist support during complex or major incidents and may lead recovery efforts.
  • Author and review technical documentation and operational procedures.
  • Stay current with technical developments and business news impacting service delivery.
  • Lead analysis and design of complex solutions, translating requirements into installations and obtaining agreement on proposed solutions.
  • Oversee standards and procedures for monitoring, capacity planning, performance optimization, backups, and recovery.
About You:
  • 6+ Years experience with large HR digital initiatives and enterprise-wide HRIS solutions, especially Workday.
  • Strong understanding of HRIS solutions/Workday, with a focus on integrations/security/governance
  • Ability to serve as a point of escalation for technical issues, lead root cause analysis, and drive service recovery.
  • Skilled in risk and issue identification, resolution, and technical delivery for ongoing support and enhancements.
  • Experience with large HR digital initiatives and enterprise-wide HRIS solutions.
  • Strong understanding of cloud-based HR technologies, specifically security and governance
  • Proven ability to deliver programs, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate with high-performing teams.
  • Advanced knowledge of systems, tools, and agile methodology.
  • Experience with governance protocols and tools (Jira, ServiceNow, Workday).
  • Skilled in interpreting metrics to drive insight and action.
  • Excellent project management, people management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead in virtual settings and build relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Strong ethics, commitment to inclusion, and confidentiality.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related technology field preferred.
