Department overview
The GCIO function oversees group-wide technology, operations and our data office. Our purpose is to support Nomura's business strategy and deliver consistent group-wide services based on common operating principles. We are aligned to our key businesses across the group and operate enterprise-wide functions for risk management, governance and controls, supply chain and infrastructure.
The Chief Controls Office (CCO) is a key function within GCIO and our purpose is aligned to the GCIO Strengthen & Protect strategic pillar. We are a global team focused on strengthening our non-financial risk management framework enabling the business to accelerate strategic delivery, whilst enhancing our ability to dynamically manage risks and evidence that we are operating in control.
The CCO function is on a multi-year global transformation journey which starts with building the right foundations especially the right skills and capabilities within our global team.
Role description
This is a key role that will be pivotal in the build out of the GCIO Chief Controls Office at Nomura. Reporting to the Controls MI Lead, , this role will support the build out of the CCO Governance and MI capability. The role is part of a global team that will formalize, standardize and globalize Risk management governance and MI across CCO. - Support on the design, build out and management of the GCIO CCO Risk Management Governance and MI capability.
- Support delivery and continued improvement of CCO Governance and MI key 'business as usual' outputs; such as supporting the Group CIO Risk Management Committee monthly and GCIO LT Controls meetings – process, agenda content and supporting MI
- Support the design and definition of CCO Governance and MI target endstate - and transition states - in line with wider CCO strategy. This role will then help oversee day-to-day the delivery of the agreed strategy
- Support the design of a standardized GCIO Control Book (in target state), and the process to ensure streamlined automated production that meets stakeholders needs to support their risk management.
.
