Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and skilled Chef or Cook with Professional Butchery Experience to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of hands-on experience in the Hotel or QSR (Quick Service Restaurant) industry, with proven expertise in food preparation, meat cutting, and kitchen operations. This position is vital to ensure high standards in food quality, hygiene, and efficient kitchen workflow.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Food Preparation & Cooking:
  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes as per standardized recipes and brand quality guidelines.

  • Assist in creating new menu items, specials, and production plans.

  • Ensure timely and consistent food preparation during service hours.

2. Butchery & Meat Handling:
  • Perform professional butchery tasks including deboning, cutting, portioning, and trimming of various meats (chicken, lamb, beef, fish, etc.).

  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of meat products.

  • Follow food safety regulations during meat handling and sanitation.

3. Kitchen Operations:
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in all kitchen and prep areas.

  • Ensure all ingredients and equipment are ready before food preparation (mise en place).

  • Follow SOPs for hygiene, temperature control, waste reduction, and inventory management.

4. Team Collaboration & Supervision:
  • Coordinate with other cooks and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.

  • Assist junior kitchen staff with preparation and ensure quality control.

  • Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff regarding menu changes or availability.

5. Compliance & Safety:
  • Adhere to HACCP standards and local health regulations.

  • Monitor and report equipment issues or supply shortages.

  • Wear appropriate PPE and follow all safety guidelines while using sharp tools and machinery.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma / Certificate in Culinary Arts, Hotel Management, or related field.

  • Formal training or certification in butchery is a strong advantage.
