Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Area Sales Manager located in Chennai. The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing distribution channels, and achieving sales targets within the assigned region. The role involves strategizing and implementing sales plans, building strong relationships with distributors and retailers, monitoring market trends and competition, and ensuring compliance with company policies. Additionally, the Area Sales Manager will lead and motivate the sales team to improve performance and achieve organizational goals.

Qualifications

  • Strong sales management skills, including the ability to strategize and achieve targets within the region
  • Proven experience in managing distribution networks and dealer relationships
  • Knowledge of market trends, competitor analysis, and consumer behavior
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team management abilities
  • Analytical skills to evaluate sales data and derive actionable insights
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and CRM tools
  • Educational qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; an MBA is a plus
  • Experience in the consumer goods or electrical industry is highly preferred
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned region as needed
