Major Responsibilities: This position will include the following activities:

Create Mechanical drawings & Assemblies in SolidWorks.

  • Provide support to VAVE projects.
  • Understand the Gearing business and look for opportunities to simplify designs at assembly, component and raw material level. Find out various VAVE opportunities.
  • Design new components & modify existing components per VAVE project requirement.
  • Perform various engineering calculations.
  • Provide support in creating DFMEA and DFM&A assessments as needed.
  • Provide support to prepare Testing Plan for any material testing (inside/outside). Co-ordinate all activities related to testing per test plan including vendor interaction.
  • Provide CAD inputs for FEA validations.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams to execute project deliverables.
• Support in creating VAVE documents (CFI).

  • Support ECN/ECRs for new revisions implementation.
  • Provide daily update to supervisor/BU. Participate in project update meeting with BU weekly.
  • Follow Regal Rexnord Ethics and Safety Programs.
  • Perform other assignments per business needs.

Required Education / Experience:
• Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering from a reputed college. Masters degree in mechanical engineering is a plus. Min 70% (8 CGPA) marks.
• 2+ years of Product design, VAVE projects experience in any industrial rotating products like couplings, bearings, gearboxes, pumps, turbines, clutches, brakes etc. Experience in a global/multinational company an added advantage.
• Hands on experience with design engineering principles and practices.
• Exposure to drawings and specifications including GD&T, material standards etc.
• Proficient with drawings and models using 2D/3D CAD softwares(SolidWorks/Solid Edge/AutoCAD)
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
• Knowledge of Oracle/SAP will be added advantage.

• Exposure to Manufacturing process like casting, forging, sheet metals, machining processes / Assembly process etc.
• Good Communication Skill.
• Strong interpersonalskill, Team player & collaborative.
• Technically sound and self-motivated.
