We are looking for-

Role: New Product Development (NPD) Engineer

Job Summary:

We are looking for a proactive and innovative New Product Development (NPD) Engineer to join our team.

The ideal candidate will play a key role in developing and launching new products from concept to production, working cross-functionally with design, production, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure successful and timely project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support end-to-end development of new products from concept, prototyping, testing, to production launch.
  • Collaborate with design, R&D, quality, and manufacturing teams to ensure feasibility and manufacturability.
  • Create and maintain Product Design Specifications (PDS) and Bill of Materials (BOM).
  • Participate in DFMEA, PFMEA, and risk assessments for new products.
  • Conduct or support product validation, testing, and trials in coordination with quality and testing teams.
  • Work with suppliers for sample development, tooling, and part approval (PPAP).
  • Monitor project timelines, ensure milestones are met, and report progress to stakeholders.
  • Maintain proper documentation as per internal standards and customer requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and feedback incorporation from post-launch reviews.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related engineering field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in New Product Development, Project Engineering, or Design & Development. (For fresher roles, internship or project experience is acceptable.)
  • Knowledge of product lifecycle management and stage-gate processes.
  • Familiarity with design and modeling software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo).
  • Understanding of quality systems like ISO 9001, IATF 16949 is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, coordination, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Exposure to APQP, PPAP, and other core tools.
  • Project management experience or training.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Good understanding of materials, processes, and manufacturing techniques.
