We are looking for an experienced Scala Developer to design and develop high-performance applications using Scala and related technologies. The ideal candidate will have strong functional programming skills and experience building scalable systems, preferably in big data or backend environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain applications using Scala and JVM-based frameworks.
  • Write clean, efficient, and testable code following functional programming principles.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable, distributed systems.
  • Optimize application performance and ensure high availability.
  • Integrate with big data frameworks like Apache Spark, Kafka, or Akka (if applicable).
  • Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and continuous integration.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in production environments.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelors/Master's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong proficiency in Scala and understanding of functional programming concepts.
  • Experience with JVM-based technologies and Java interoperability.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and concurrency models.
  • Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Apache Spark or Akka for distributed computing.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
