Position Overview
The Accounts Manager is responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the hotel/resort, ensuring accurate accounting practices, compliance with statutory requirements, and efficient management of revenue, expenses, and financial reporting. This role works closely with the General Manager and department heads to support strategic financial planning and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Manage day-to-day accounting functions including AP, AR, payroll, bank reconciliations, and general ledger.
- Track revenues, costs, budgets, and forecasts to support management decisions.
- Monitor cash flow and ensure efficient treasury operations.
Hotel/Resort Revenue & Cost Control
- Verify daily revenue reports, night audit summaries, and POS/ PMS financial data.
- Oversee room revenue, F&B revenue, banquets, and ancillary revenue streams.
- Implement controls to minimize pilferage, wastage, and operational losses.
- Coordinate with F&B, Front Office, Spa, and other departments for revenue reconciliation.
Compliance & Audit
- Ensure compliance with local tax laws, GST/VAT, service tax, TDS, and other statutory requirements.
- Support external and internal audits; maintain proper documentation and records.
- Implement and monitor SOPs for financial and operational controls in line with hospitality standards.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Develop annual budgets and monthly forecasts in collaboration with the GM and department heads.
- Track budget variances and recommend corrective measures.
- Provide insights to improve profitability and cost efficiency.
Team Management
- Supervise and train accounting staff; delegate responsibilities effectively.
- Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and quality in all financial operations.
- Conduct performance reviews and promote continuous skill development.
Coordination & Communication
- Act as a key liaison between Finance, Operations, and Management.
- Prepare management reports and financial presentations as required.
- Support business planning, pricing strategies, procurement decisions, and vendor negotiations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field (MBA/CA/ICWA preferred).
- 5–8 years of accounting experience, ideally in the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of hotel accounting systems, PMS/POS platforms (Opera, IDS, Protel, etc.), and MS Excel.
- Solid understanding of hospitality revenue cycles and cost controls.
- Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹30, ₹35,000.00 per month
