About the Role

Edge Consultants is looking for a highly skilled Structural Engineer with strong expertise in RCC and Steel Structure Design. The ideal candidate must be proficient in STAAD Pro, AutoCAD, ETABS, and have hands-on experience in connection design. Experience in industrial structures, high-rise buildings, PEB, bridges, and complex analysis will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform structural analysis and design of RCC and steel buildings.
  • Prepare structural drawings, design reports, BBS, load calculations, and design documentation.
  • Model structures using STAAD Pro, ETABS, and coordinate with drafting teams in AutoCAD.
  • Design and verify steel connections, base plates, gusset plates, anchorage systems, etc.
  • Work on industrial structures such as factory sheds, pipe racks, equipment foundations, conveyors, and heavy-load platforms.
  • Design high-rise buildings, commercial structures, and special structures.
  • Coordinate with architects, clients, and project teams for design inputs and approvals.
  • Ensure compliance with IS Codes, industry standards, and client specifications.
  • Review drawings, conduct QA/QC, and provide technical solutions during project execution.
  • Support site teams with structural clarifications and resolving on-site issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Civil Engineering / Structural Engineering.
  • Strong command in RCC & Steel Structure Design.

  • Proficient in:

  • STAAD Pro

  • ETABS
  • AutoCAD

  • MS Excel (structural calculations)

  • Excellent understanding of IS Codes (IS 456, IS 800, IS 1893, IS 875, IS 2911, etc.)

  • Experience in industrial projects, high-rise structures, PEB structures, and retrofitting preferred.
  • Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.

Preferred Experience

  • 2+ years experience in structural design (freshers with exceptional skills may also apply).
  • Hands-on experience in foundation design, retaining walls, steel trusses, gantry girders, and mezzanine structures.
  • Experience with connection design software (e.g., IDEA StatiCa, RAM Connection) is a plus.
