Lead the development and oversee the implementation of a world-class HSE management system for the Marketing division. Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018 standards, legal requirements, and statutory norms. Drive initiatives for environment, safety, fire prevention, occupational health, and emergency preparedness to achieve a zero-injury workplace.
Responsibilities1. Team Management
- Create, maintain, and improve the HSE team to achieve objectives.
- Define role clarity and performance contracts for direct reports.
- Conduct reviews, recognize and reward performance.
- Initiate development activities to enhance skill levels.
2. Implement HSE Management Systems
- Implement HSE plans for Marketing and coordinate with departments.
- Develop standards and procedures for HSE systems.
- Provide solutions to major HSE problems through systematic studies.
- Drive continual improvement through best practices and benchmarking.
- Ensure timely implementation of HSE audit recommendations.
- Lead improvement projects related to HSE.
3. Risk Management & Compliance
- Identify hazards and assess risks through studies.
- Implement control measures as per hierarchy of control.
- Ensure HSE systems effectively manage risks.
- Provide HSE inputs for projects, modifications, and improvements.
- Review HSE integration across the energy business value chain.
4. HSE Training & Communication
- Develop and conduct HSE training programs.
- Facilitate effective HSE communication programs.
- Build internal HSE trainers within the department.
5. Planning & Budgeting
- Develop annual and facility plans to achieve zero non-conformities.
- Monitor performance against targets and benchmarks.
- Implement strategies to eliminate gaps with associated budgets.
6. Systems, Policies & Procedures
- Develop and maintain HSE manuals and SOPs.
- Schedule and conduct periodic HSE audits.
- Develop HSE standards to meet operational excellence.
- Maintain environmental compliance and risk registers.
7. MIS & Reporting
- Compile monthly HSE performance reports on time.
- Maintain leading and lagging parameter records.
- Collate audit reports and track corrective actions.
8. Statutory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all environmental and statutory legislative requirements.
- Maintain valid environment clearances and licenses.
- Ensure adherence to Factories Act, Environment Acts, and hazardous waste disposal norms.
- Stay updated on industry norms for safety and environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in any specialization.
- Degree/Diploma in Industrial Safety from an accredited institute.
- Master's degree (optional, added advantage).
Experience:
- 10–20 years in HSE roles, preferably in Oil & Gas.
Skills
Functional Skills:
- Excellent knowledge of statutory regulations.
- Ability to implement HSE systems aligned with business plans.
- Technical knowledge in risk management, process control, storage facilities, and safety instrumentation.
- Expertise in incident investigation and reporting.
Behavioural Skills:

- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Team management and influencing capability.
- Result-oriented and self-starter with analytical mindset.
