Key Responsibilities

1. Backend Development

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain backend APIs and services using and related frameworks like or NestJS.
  • Implement secure, scalable, and high-performance server-side logic.
  • Build reusable code, modules, and libraries for future use.

2. AWS Cloud Integration (Mandatory)

  • Design, deploy, and manage backend services using AWS components such as:

  • EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, API Gateway, CloudWatch, IAM, etc.

  • Implement serverless functions and AWS-managed services where required.

  • Work closely with DevOps teams to optimize deployment pipelines and cloud performance.

3. API Design & Integration

  • Build RESTful APIs and integrate them with web and mobile applications.
  • Ensure API security, authentication (JWT/OAuth), and performance optimization.
  • Maintain API documentation using Swagger/Postman collections.

4. Database Management

  • Work with SQL and NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB).
  • Write efficient queries, optimize performance, and manage database schemas.

5. Code Quality & Testing

  • Write unit tests using Mocha, Jest, Chai, or any other testing framework.
  • Ensure code quality through code reviews, refactoring, and adherence to best practices.
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve backend issues efficiently.

6. Performance Optimization

  • Monitor application performance and identify bottlenecks.
  • Optimize APIs, queries, and server configurations for maximum efficiency.

7. Collaboration & Documentation

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including frontend developers, QA, DevOps, and product owners.
  • Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and Agile ceremonies.
  • Create and maintain detailed technical documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 13 years of hands-on experience as a Backend Developer.
  • Strong proficiency in and frameworks like
  • AWS cloud experience is mandatory.
  • Good understanding of asynchronous programming, promises, and event-driven architecture.
  • Experience with REST API development and JSON-based communication.
  • Hands-on experience with databases (SQL or NoSQL).
  • Understanding of version control systems like Git/GitHub.
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture is a plus.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of TypeScript.
  • Familiarity with GraphQL.
  • Experience working with serverless frameworks.
  • Exposure to Agile development methodologies.
  • Good understanding of security principles (OWASP, API security).

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to manage tasks and prioritize work effectively.
