Job Summary:
This is a multifaceted role that combines the clinical responsibilities of performing diagnostic imaging procedures with the administrative support functions required to ensure smooth operations. This role involves working directly with patients to carry out imaging exams (X-rays) and supporting the operational aspects of the centre, including administrative tasks, scheduling, and coordinating workflows. This role serves as the primary point of contact for patients, providing support and coordination of services to ensure a seamless experience. The coordinator is responsible for addressing patient needs before, during, and after their visit.
Key Responsibilities:
Radiography Duties:
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures, explaining the process according to prescribed guidelines and medical protocols and addressing any concerns.
- Explain procedures to patients to ensure understanding, safety, and comfort during imaging processes
- Ensure accurate patient positioning for imaging exams to obtain high-quality, diagnostic images
- Operate imaging equipment, adjust equipment settings to optimize image quality and minimize radiation exposure, processes and analyses images to identify abnormalities.
- Monitors patient condition during procedures and intervenes as necessary.
- Maintains equipment in good working order by performing routine quality control checks, troubleshooting imaging equipment, ensuring its optimal functionality to radiation safety guidelines and protocols.
- Participates in quality improvement initiatives.
- Accurately documents patient information, procedures performed, and results.
- Maintains detailed records of radiation exposure.
- Responsible for patient care services by serving as the main point of contact for patients, communicating with patients about services, specialists, treatment plan or upcoming procedures.
- Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and proper care delivery.
- Address patient concerns or complaints in a professional and empathetic manner, escalating issues to the appropriate healthcare providers or management as necessary.
- Provide administrative support to the operations team, ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning of the department.
- Manage inventory and purchase requirements of the Centre.
- Coordinate management of accurate patient records and manage the filing system for all documents.
- Work within and cooperate with a multidisciplinary team with assigned tasks.
- Assist with managing the department's workflow, improving operational efficiencies, and identifying areas for process improvement.
- Take up other additional duties as assigned.

- Any Diploma/B.Sc. Radiology/ B.Sc. MIT/ MLT (with radiology)
- Proficient in English (oral and written)
