Role Descriptions

We are looking for a dynamic and strategic
Assistant General Manager – Human Resources (AGM–HR)
to lead and strengthen the HR function across multiple locations. This role is ideal for a highly experienced HR professional who can balance
operations + strategic HR
, drive business outcomes, and build HR systems that support organizational growth.

The AGM–HR will oversee the
entire HR lifecycle
, including Talent Acquisition, Payroll & Compliance, HR Operations, PMS, Employee Relations, Policy Development, Statutory Compliance, Learning & OD, HR Audits, and Leadership Alignment. The role requires strong exposure to multi-location HR management and cross-cultural teams (India + overseas).

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic HR & Business Partnering

  • Partner with senior leadership to define HR strategy aligned with business goals.
  • Drive organizational restructuring, workforce planning, and manpower budgeting.
  • Support CXOs and functional heads on people decisions, succession planning, and capability development.

2. HR Operations & Compliance

  • Oversee end-to-end HR operations across India & overseas locations.
  • Ensure 100% statutory compliance (PF, ESIC, PT, CLRA, Shops Act, Payroll, Expat compliances).
  • Lead HR audits, risk assessments, policy reviews, and SOP implementation.

3. Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

  • Lead recruitment for mid to senior-level positions across multiple geographies.
  • Implement structured onboarding, induction, and 90-day integration plans.
  • Manage employer branding and build a strong talent pipeline.

4. Payroll Management

  • Oversee end-to-end payroll (India + expat payroll systems).
  • Validate salary inputs, F&F settlements, tax planning, and compliance reporting.
  • Develop automation tools for payroll accuracy and turnaround time.

5. Performance Management & Employee Experience

  • Lead PMS cycles, KPI/KRA alignment, appraisals, and 360-degree feedback.
  • Enhance employee engagement, grievance handling, and conflict resolution.
  • Work on culture-building initiatives and retention strategies.

6. Learning, Development & Leadership Growth

  • Create training calendars, competency mapping, skill-gap assessments.
  • Conduct HR awareness programs, HR audits, and policy training.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education:

  • MBA / PGDM (HR), MSW, or equivalent qualification.

Experience:

  • 12–18 years of HR & Admin experience across manufacturing / engineering / IT / multi-location setups.
  • Strong exposure to Indian & international HR operations (preferably Africa or GCC).

Technical Skills:

  • HRMS / HRIS systems, Payroll Tools, MS Excel (Advanced), HR Analytics.
  • Strong in compliance, audits, and policy formulation.

Leadership Competencies:

  • Strategic thinking, team management, stakeholder handling, execution excellence.
  • Ability to manage large teams and multi-country environments.
