Roles and Responsibilities

Responsible for overall import and export operations in the organization.
Coordinate with Custom House Agents, Freight Forwarders, Logistics companies, Suppliers (National / International) and the regulatory bodies (customs) to ensure on timely delivery of import and export.
Responsible for commercial negotiations of terms of contract with the logistics service providers and ensure the cost leadership w.r.t industry.
Handle import / export to Suppliers / Customers in SEA, China, US, Europe, etc. along with necessary payment and documentation ensuring all the statutory compliance are met
Manage Inland logistics (FTL/PTL) for the domestic Customers and Suppliers
Internal Stakeholder Management - Closely Work / Co-ordinate with Customers, Program Mangers, Plant Operations team in terms of export and with Procurement team, Suppliers, warehouse stores for the imports respectively, to ensure on-time delivery/arrival of the goods.
Manage Bill of Entry and other documentation on import and ensure on time delivery in SEZ
Preparation of Monthly MIS report and presenting to the management.
Create and Implement developmental program in the logistics area.
Bring in best practices in the exports and imports area, develop dashboard to measure the KPIs related to cost Management, efficiency, TAT etc.
Responsible for all the logistics costs and the Payments

Desired Candidate Profile

Experience of at least 5- 10 years in handling Export and Import logistics in Manufacturing industry (Electronics / Auto Component Industry preferred)
Should have good knowledge in
Export and Import Regulations
Special Economic Zone (SEZ), EOU regulations related to Import and Export
Conversant with Customs Laws
Commercial Negotiations, International logistics, Freight Forwarding, Shipping line
Own & Manage the stakeholder relationship w.r.t logistics viz. of Freight Forwarders, Shipping Lines, CHA, Customs, Transporters, Couriers, etc.
Good interpersonal and communication skills Written and Verbal
Proficient in MS office products (Excel, Word, Outlook) and SAP Module.
Excellent leadership capabilities with experience in handling a team of min people
