Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Platform Software Engineer (Full Stack) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will collaborate with talented software developers to expand and enhance a cutting-edge kitchen automation system powered by robotics and cloud-connected infrastructure. You will contribute significantly to the design, development, and commercialization of core software, and work alongside specialists in robotics, machine learning, and computer vision to create seamless, user-friendly, and high-performance solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Software Development: Code, debug, test, and troubleshoot software throughout the development lifecycle.

Take ownership of designing and developing core software for robotic systems.

Develop sophisticated state machines to efficiently manage and optimize cooking workflows in robotic systems.

Engineers streamlined, user-friendly procedures for robotic system installations, ensuring smooth and efficient user experiences.

Design and implement robust monitoring systems to continuously track and ensure the health of robotic systems in diverse operating environments.

Apply best engineering practices to iteratively improve software generality, quality, and performance through refactoring and optimization.

Understand and contribute to existing architecture, create architectural diagrams, and maintain thorough documentation on software solutions.

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including robotics specialists in controls, machine learning, and computer vision, to integrate various system components.

Create unit tests and system-level tests to verify code functionality and system performance.

Adhere to and help improve the software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes, taking ownership of developing, maintaining, and releasing software.

Basic Qualifications

BS or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

5+ years of relevant industry experience in system software, robotics, or related fields.

Technical Skills:

Strong proficiency in Python and familiarity with C++.

Solid experience with Robot Operating System (ROS).

Knowledge of state machines, network stacks, and SQL databases for robotic systems.

Familiarity with Linux, Docker, and Git for software development.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with cloud and edge computing for scalable and distributed systems.

Previous experience developing platforms that support multiple robotic products.

Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.

Knowledge of real-time operating systems (RTOS) and performance optimization techniques for robotics.
