Software Engineer

WHAT YOU'LL DO​

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot
• Build and manage microservices deployed on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other engineers to deliver high-quality solutions
• Implement secure coding practices to handle sensitive customer data in compliance with data privacy regulations
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and monitoring setups
• Take part in on-call rotations and production incident handling as part of the DevOps responsibilities
• Continuously improve system performance, reliability, and observability
• Help maintain code quality and automation. 
• Contribute to the documentation of software designs, technical specifications, and user manuals.  
• Engage in design discussions, code reviews, and peer feedback sessions with a growth mindset

WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH​

Product team – Customer Data: We operate in a modern DevOps environment, where we own the full lifecycle of services that manage and protect customer Personally Identifiable Information (PII). As the source of truth for customer identity data, our systems are critical to the security, compliance, and trust that underpin our business.

You'll work with a passionate team that values clean code, automation, observability, and continuous improvement. WHO YOU ARE​

We are looking for people with…​

• 2-4 years of experience in backend software development using Java
• Expertise in Spring Boot and building RESTful APIs
• Hands-on experience with microservices architecture
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of relational and/or NoSQL databases
• Proficient in secure coding, especially for systems handling PII
• Open to take feedback constructively and a willingness to learn and improve continuously

Nice to Have

• Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Azure Monitor
• Familiarity with messaging systems (e.g., Solace, Azure Service Bus)
• Knowledge of data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA)
• Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Bicep)
