Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of staff. Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Ensure the planning, execution, and completion of engineering projects. Ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications. Manage project risks, resources, and timelines effectively.
  • Develop and implement engineering strategies that align with the company's goals. Identify opportunities for innovation, process improvements, and cost savings.
  •  Contribute to the long-term planning of engineering activities and technology roadmaps.
  • Provide technical direction and guidance. Ensure that engineering designs and solutions meet industry standards, regulatory requirements, and market needs.
  • Develop and manage the budget. Monitor expenses, allocate resources effectively, and ensure that projects are financially viable.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety.
  • Ensure that engineering work adheres to quality standards and complies with regulatory requirements. Implement and maintain quality control processes to prevent defects and ensure product reliability.
  • Work closely with other departments, including product development, manufacturing, procurement, and sales, to ensure seamless project execution and alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Communicate engineering goals and progress to stakeholders.
  • Promote innovation within the engineering team. Oversee (R&D) activities to explore new technologies, materials, and methods.
  • Support the development of new products or enhancements to existing products.
  • Identify potential risks associated with engineering projects and develop mitigation strategies. operational risks.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to source materials, components, and services. Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability. Ensure that supplier relationships support project timelines and goals.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on engineering activities, project status, budget performance, and other key metrics to senior management. Provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure that all engineering activities comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies. Prepare for and participate in audits, inspections, and certifications as required.
  • Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives, process improvement methodologies, to enhance engineering efficiency and effectiveness.
