The Method / Process Engineer will be responsible for defining, developing, and optimizing composite manufacturing processes for aerospace and industrial applications. The role involves establishing standard work procedures, selecting materials and methods, and ensuring repeatable, high-quality production of composite components using wet layup, resin infusion, and prepreg processes. The engineer will also support process validation, tooling coordination, and assembly operations for composite structures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Diploma or B.Tech in Mechanical, Aeronautical, or Production Engineering.
  • 25 years of experience in composite manufacturing process engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of wet layup, resin infusion, and prepreg processing techniques.
  • Understanding of vacuum bagging, curing (oven/autoclave), demoulding, trimming, and bonding operations.
  • Experience in preparing process sheets, SOPs, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Practical knowledge of tooling, moulds, materials (resins, fibers, adhesives), and curing equipment.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred / Desirable Skills:

  • Exposure to aerospace-grade composite part manufacturing and assembly.
  • Knowledge of NDT methods, quality standards (AS9100/ISO 9001), and MRB handling.
  • Familiarity with CAD tools (CATIA, Fusion 360, or SolidWorks) for process planning and tool interface checks.
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing, PFMEA, and process validation techniques.
