Description and RequirementsJob Description
The Security Operations Lead (SOL) is the primary point of contact for the delivery of operational oversight of security services delivered by multiple partners to the customer. The SOL is responsible for assuring that the contractual security obligations are met for service delivery for the customer. This includes overseeing the security compliance of Lenovo managed infrastructure as they deliver to the customer, as well as management oversight of all Managed Security Services (MSS) delivered to the customer by other vendors/ partners. Threat & vulnerability analysis Investigate, document & report Information security issues & emerging trends Analysis & response to unknown vulnerabilities.
Responsibilities
As a Security Operations Lead, you will:
- Provide the Customer a single point of contact for security matters related to Lenovo Managed Services
- Work closely with the Customer's senior Security and Compliance leadership and is Lenovo focal point for IT Security or Compliance matters that affect the customer.
- Understand customer's contractual Security and Compliance & Regulatory Requirements
- Understand the customer's security and compliance Strategy
- Within the context of contracted services, support the customer's Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to implement a sound security program
- Lead Security Innovation with the customer
- Monitor applicable standards for impact on the client.
- Understand the security components and implications for security of the underlying tools and technologies supporting the customer.
- Prepare and maintain the Customer Security Plan (CSP) to ensure it continues to reflect the needs of the customer, the required focus and how the customer's security and compliance requirements will continue to be met
- Provide Security and Compliance awareness trainings to Lenovo managed services teams
- Work with the Customer and Lenovo managed service capability teams to ensure security requirements are understood and continue to be met through effective operations
- Ensure technology and data resources within the scope of the Agreement are secure
- Maintain a complete and current understanding of the required security delivery as defined in the contract and supporting Statement of Work
- Maintain a current and complete understanding of the customer's security operations
- Maintain a complete and current understanding of the effectiveness of the customer's security operations
- Ensure new technology projects assess and consider security risks through change Management and integrate appropriate risk mitigation requirements
- Ensure the effectiveness and completeness of the security program Lenovo manages for the customer within scope of the Agreement
- Prepare and deliver to the customer, the security and compliance reports as required by the contract.
- Establish and maintain a Security Risk Register to identify, monitor and communicate inherent, emerging and realized risk
- Work with the Customer to ensure risks are appropriately managed through resolution, mitigation or acceptance with an appropriately approved management plan
- Raise security-related risks and non-compliance to appropriate management level of customer & Lenovo
- Maintain a Security Incident Response Program that aligns with and supports the Accounts Incident Management Plans and Processes
- Ensure all Security and Compliance Incidents are managed, including appropriate escalation within delivery organizations
- Ensure all Security and Compliance Incidents are managed from a customer relationship standpoint
- Drive the continuous development of security services delivered
- Manage, investigate, and resolve complex issues with the Security tooling.
- Propose and identify automation opportunities resulting from incidents
- Provide recommendations to the customer team, on how to mitigate or avert the occurrence of any suspicious activity within their environment.
Skill

Typical skills include:
- Security Expertise: In-depth knowledge of security principles, practices, and technologies, including network security, endpoint security, encryption, access controls, etc. Should stay updated with the latest security threats and trends.
- Incident Response: Ability to lead and coordinate incident response activities effectively, including identifying and analyzing security incidents, containing the damage, and implementing remediation measures.
- Security Tools: Proficiency in using security tools such as SIEM (Security Information and Event Management), IDS/IPS (Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems), DLP (Data Loss Prevention), etc. Should be able to evaluate, select, and implement appropriate security solutions for the organization.
- Risk Management: Skill in assessing security risks and developing strategies to mitigate them. This involves understanding the organization's risk tolerance, conducting risk assessments, and implementing controls to manage risks effectively.
- Leadership: Strong leadership skills to manage and mentor a team of security professionals. Should be able to inspire, motivate, and empower team members to achieve security objectives.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate security risks, incidents, and mitigation strategies to stakeholders at all levels of the organization. This includes writing clear and concise reports, presenting findings to management, and fostering collaboration with other departments.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to think critically and analytically to solve complex security problems. Should be able to quickly assess situations, identify root causes, and implement solutions to address security issues.
- Compliance Knowledge: Understanding of relevant regulations and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS) applicable to the organization's industry. Should ensure that security operations are in compliance with these standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Commitment to continuous learning and improvement in security practices and processes. This involves staying updated with industry best practices, participating in training programs, and driving initiatives to enhance the security posture of the organization.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to collaborate effectively with other teams such as IT, legal, compliance, and risk management to align security efforts with broader organizational goals and objectives.
- Vendor Management: Skill in managing relationships with security vendors and service providers. This includes evaluating vendor products and services, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that vendors meet security requirements.
- Crisis Management: Capability to remain calm and composed under pressure during security incidents or crises. Should be able to make timely and effective decisions to minimize the impact of security incidents on the organization.
Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electronics, Communication, Computer Science)
- years of relevant experience in Security Operations
- Strong understanding ITIL process
- Recognized Cyber Security certifications, such as CISSP, CRISC, CISM, SANS, SABSA, OSCP are required.
- Microsoft Security and compliance certifications such as SC-200, MS-500 and AZ-500 preferred
