Job Title: Credit Analyst – Textile Machinery Loans

Location: Surat, Gujarat

Department: Corporate / SME Lending

Reports to: Credit Manager / Head – Corporate Banking

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Credit Analyst to evaluate and structure high-value loan proposals (minimum ₹1 crore) for financing textile machinery in Surat's thriving textile hub. The role demands strong financial acumen, sector knowledge, and the ability to deliver accurate risk assessments that support sustainable lending growth.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Credit Appraisal & Financial Analysis
  • Assess and analyze credit proposals for textile machinery financing.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis including ratio analysis, cash flow projections, and creditworthiness evaluation.
  • Ensure adherence to bank's risk policies and RBI guidelines.
  1. Industry & Technical Evaluation
  • Analyze market trends in the textile sector to forecast industry risks and opportunities.
  • Coordinate with technical teams to verify machinery quality, specifications, and residual value.
  1. Risk Management
  • Identify potential credit, operational, and market risks.
  • Recommend suitable collateral, guarantees, and other risk mitigants.
  1. Documentation & Compliance
  • Review KYC, legal, and technical documents for completeness.
  • Maintain 100% compliance with internal and external audit requirements.
  1. Stakeholder Coordination
  • Collaborate with relationship managers for client visits, site inspections, and business meetings.
  • Prepare comprehensive Credit Appraisal Memos (CAMs) and present to the Credit Committee.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: MBA (Finance), CA, CFA, or equivalent professional degree.
  • Experience: 1-3 years in credit analysis or corporate lending; machinery financing experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, credit risk tools, and PMS (Project Management Systems).
  • Strong understanding of Surat's textile industry dynamics.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and report-writing skills.
