Tosca Automation Lead

Overview

We are seeking a Tosca Automation Lead to drive automation strategy, oversee end-to-end delivery, and guide teams in building scalable automation solutions across SAP landscapes (ECC, S/4HANA, Fiori, SAP GUI). This role requires strong hands-on expertise in Tricentis Tosca, deep SAP process knowledge, and proven leadership in managing automation initiatives.

Your Role and Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of robust automation frameworks and scripts using Tricentis Tosca for SAP ECC / S4HANA / Fiori / SAP GUI environments.
• Identify automation opportunities across SAP modules (FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, WM, etc.) and collaborate with functional and technical stakeholders to define optimized test coverage.
• Oversee and guide the team in developing model-based test automation for UI, API, and data layer testing.
• Manage and monitor automation execution cycles, ensuring stable regression runs, timely defect analysis, and effective troubleshooting.
• Drive the integration of Tosca automation suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or equivalent) and ensure seamless execution through tools like qTest or JIRA.
• Perform and review root-cause analysis of automation failures, recommending improvements to enhance reliability, reusability, and maintainability.
• Establish and maintain comprehensive documentation standards covering test data, test scripts, execution reports, and handover materials.
• Partner closely with SAP project teams to ensure automation solutions align with business goals, release timelines, and quality standards.
• Mentor junior automation engineers, provide technical guidance, review deliverables, and ensure adherence to best practices.
• Support planning, effort estimation, sprint alignment, and overall automation roadmap execution.

What Were Looking For

We are looking for candidates with a combination of the following:

• 5 to 8 years of experience in SAP automation, with strong hands-on expertise in Tricentis Tosca (lead or senior role preferred).
• Deep knowledge of Tosca model-based automation, including test case design, execution, and reporting.
• Solid understanding of SAP business processes across modules (FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, etc.).
• Strong technical expertise in Tricentis Tosca, including setup and configuration of Tosca Commander, Tosca Server, Distributed Execution (DeX), and Test Data Service (TDS).
• Proven experience in developing and managing Tosca integrations with test management tools using Tosca Connect (e.g., Jira, qTest, SAP SolMan, SAP CALM, TestRail).
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills with experience working directly with client teams and senior stakeholders
• Exposure to other automation tools such as UiPath, Playwright, and UFT is highly desirable.
• Proven experience integrating automation with CI/CD frameworks such as Jenkins.
• Strong working knowledge of test management tools like qTest, ALM, or JIRA.
• Demonstrated capability in leading and managing an automation team of 46 resources, ensuring delivery quality and timelines
• Experience in training, coaching, or mentoring new or junior automation engineers.
• Flexibility to work and collaborate across India and Australia time zones to meet project and stakeholder needs.
