About Us
We are a brand-new café dedicated to serving great food, quality tea, and excellent coffee in a warm and welcoming environment. We are looking for a motivated and reliable Cook to join our team and help bring our menu to life.
Role Overview
The Café Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items to a high standard, maintaining exceptional hygiene practices, and supporting smooth daily kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of café dishes according to recipes and quality standards.
- Ensure tea and coffee accompaniments (snacks, breakfast items, light meals, etc.) are prepared fresh and consistently.
- Maintain excellent kitchen hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety at all times.
- Assist in stock management, including receiving and storing ingredients properly.
- Collaborate with the café team to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
- Follow all food handling regulations and safety protocols.
- Contribute to menu development and improvements where needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a cook or kitchen assistant (café experience preferred but not essential).
- Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards (hygiene is mandatory).
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Passion for preparing high-quality food and supporting a great café experience.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a positive attitude.
