Key job responsibilities Driving weekly/ monthly reviews around business performance, anchoring debate around actionable business insights with leadership team.Controllership - The role requires the candidate to collaborate with Business Ops, FinOps and Accounting team for accounting establishing and ensuring compliance to operational and financial controls & procedures; accurate closure of financial books.The role requires to ensure Headcount Controllership for Payments business.The role requires working extensively with business finance teams for preparing Annual and Long range operating plans.A day in the lifeThe Finance Analyst will be a key business partner with the Payment leadership team to assist in maximizing the potential of Amazon Payment Products. The position is responsible for financial planning and analysis for this high growth business. In this role, you will be responsible for all financial controllership, metrics and overall financial analysis. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity; detail oriented and has the ability to work well with cross-functional teams including categories, Business Ops, FP&A, Accounting, Legal teams and Tech teams.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience4+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experienceBachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experienceSix Sigma Black BeltExperience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligenceCA with 3+years of experience into FP&A; Budgeting; Forecasting; Planning and also managing Financial process.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experienceMBA, or CPAKnowledge of TableauExperience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
