About the Role

We are seeking a talented SQL Developer to design, develop, and maintain our organizations databases and data systems. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in SQL programming, database design, and performance optimization. You will collaborate with application developers, data analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure efficient data access and integrity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain SQL databases, tables, views, stored procedures, and functions.
  • Write complex queries, joins, and triggers to support data analysis and application development.
  • Optimize existing database queries for better performance and scalability.
  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and security across systems.
  • Collaborate with application developers to integrate databases with business applications.
  • Perform database tuning, indexing, and query optimization.
  • Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes for data migration and integration.
  • Create and manage reports and dashboards based on business requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues.
  • Stay updated on emerging database technologies and best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as a SQL Developer or Database Developer (minimum [X] years).
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and relational database management systems (RDBMS) such as Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
  • Hands-on experience with T-SQL, PL/SQL, or similar procedural extensions.
  • Understanding of database design principles, normalization, and data modeling.
  • Experience with ETL tools and data integration processes.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud databases (Azure SQL, AWS RDS, Google Cloud SQL).
  • Knowledge of NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra) is a plus.
  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema).
  • Experience with BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, or SSRS.
  • Familiarity with Python, Shell scripting, or automation for data handling.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
