Tender Manager

About the Role

The Tender Manager will be responsible for managing the complete tendering process for solar EPC projects across India. This role demands a deep understanding of government tender portals, tender documentation, bid strategy, compliance, technical evaluations, and coordination with internal teams. The ideal candidate must possess strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills, along with a proven track record of handling tenders in the solar industry.

You will act as a key strategic player in the company's business development initiatives, ensuring that every bid is competitive, compliant, and aligned with ETPL's business goals. Your ability to coordinate across engineering, design, procurement, and finance teams will be essential to ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality bid submissions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing the end-to-end tendering process for solar EPC projects (Rooftop, Ground Mount, Floating Solar, and Utility-Scale Mega Projects).
  • Identifying tenders from government portals, PSUs, DISCOMs, and private clients.
  • Studying and analyzing tender documents, BOQs, technical specifications, financial formats, and eligibility criteria.
  • Preparing technical and commercial proposals in consultation with engineering, design, procurement, and finance teams.
  • Coordinating with vendors and OEMs for quotations, technical datasheets, and supporting documents.
  • Ensuring compliance with tender requirements and reviewing all documents before submission.
  • Developing pricing strategies and preparing cost estimations to ensure competitive bids.
  • Monitoring tender deadlines and ensuring timely submissions on e-tendering portals.
  • Attending pre-bid meetings and interacting with clients to clarify technical and commercial doubts.
  • Maintaining an organized record of ongoing tenders, submitted bids, and awarded projects.
  • Supporting management with insights, feasibility analysis, and business growth strategies.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum
    5–8 years of experience
    in the
    solar industry
    (mandatory).
  • Bachelor's degree in
    Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
    .
  • Strong understanding of MNRE, SECI, NTPC, PGCIL, DISCOM, and state-level tendering norms.
  • Experience in tender estimation, BOQ preparation, cost analysis, and EPC project understanding.
  • Proficiency in government e-tendering portals.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, documentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work under deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical approach and problem-solving mindset.
