About the Role

The Academic Advisor will guide students throughout their academic journey by helping them choose suitable courses, understand program requirements, and achieve their educational and career goals. The advisor will act as a mentor, problem-solver, and academic support specialist.

Key Responsibilities1. Student Guidance & Counseling

• Provide one-on-one academic counseling to students regarding course selection, program requirements, and career pathways.
• Assist students in creating personalized study plans and academic goals.
• Support students facing academic challenges by suggesting improvement strategies.

2. Admission & Enrollment Support

• Guide prospective students about available programs, eligibility, admission procedures, and documentation.
• Support new students during onboarding, orientation, and initial counseling.

3. Academic Monitoring

• Track student progress through regular check-ins and progress reviews.
• Identify at-risk students and provide timely interventions.

4. Communication & Coordination

• Coordinate with faculty members, departments, and administrative teams to support student needs.
• Maintain accurate records of student interactions, academic plans, and follow-up actions.

5. Information & Resource Support

• Provide updated information about exams, schedules, curriculum changes, and institutional policies.
• Assist students with online education platforms, study resources, and exam preparation guidelines.

6. Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare reports related to student performance, advising activities, and academic trends.
• Ensure proper documentation of counseling sessions and academic plans.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 12th Pass/ Bachelor's or Master's degree.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to guide, motivate, and empathize with students.
• Familiarity with academic systems, online learning platforms, and education policies.
• Good organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualities

• Experience in academic counseling or student advisory roles.
• Knowledge of distance/online learning systems (if applicable).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced educational environment.
• Fluency in multiple languages (advantageous).

Salary

• As per organizational standards and experience.

Pay: ₹8, ₹25,000.00 per month
