Request for Proposal (RFP)/Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQ)

Project Details:

The intern is expected to develop a "Standard Request for Proposal (Standard RFP)" and "Platform Cheat Sheet" for one of AllianceBernstein's Investment Strategies. Standard RFPs, which are maintained as part of industry best practices of RFP/DDQ Teams of all leading asset management firms, is intended for dissemination to institutional, retail and other significant investors seeking a comprehensive understanding of an investment strategy. It serves as a detailed exposition of the investment strategy, furnishing them with essential insights to facilitate their investment decision-making processes. A Standard RFP will generally encompass all pertinent details of the Investment Strategy, encompassing, but not limited to, universe definition, investment methodology, risk management, trading, vehicle-level specifics, and operational intricacies involved in delivering the strategy to investors. The preparation of a Standard RFP necessitates that an RFP/DDQ Writer possess a profound comprehension of the investment strategy under consideration, inclusive of details regarding the responsible investment team, the set of securities under consideration, the overarching investment process, guidelines for portfolio construction, nuances across various Strategy iterations, the decision-making process for portfolio construction, risk management protocols, and trading procedures. This undertaking also demands familiarity with investment vehicles and the operational procedures essential for executing the strategy effectively.

The Platform Cheat Sheets, internal documents of the RFP/DDQ Team, are tailored to capture key facets of a group of Strategies sharing commonalities yet exhibiting distinct characteristics. These Sheets aid both new and existing Writers in swiftly and efficiently sourcing information, offering a concise overview of the Strategy Platform.
