Role Overview:

We are looking for a highly skilled Freelance WordPress Developer who can handle both front-end and back-end development with a strong understanding of responsive design principles. The ideal candidate should be able to take website briefs, suggest improvements, and deliver polished, optimized, and brand-aligned WordPress sites. A working understanding of SEO best practices will be considered a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites (both front-end & back-end)
  • Work with themes, custom layouts, and page builders (Elementor/Divi/Gutenberg/etc.)
  • Create and modify custom WordPress plugins and functions as required
  • Ensure websites are mobile responsive, fast, and performance-optimized
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and fix technical website issues
  • Collaborate with the internal Creative & Digital Strategy team on design and content elements
  • Implement on-page SEO-related improvements (site structure, URL hygiene, meta tags, etc.)

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working as a WordPress Developer (portfolio required)
  • Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP and MySQL
  • Experience with WordPress theme customization and plugin development
  • Familiarity with cPanel/hosting setups, domain & DNS configuration
  • Understanding of Core Web Vitals and site performance optimization
  • Knowledge of basic SEO principles is highly appreciated
  • Ability to deliver projects independently and adhere to timelines

Good to Have:

  • Experience with WooCommerce
  • Experience working with D2C or e-commerce brands
  • Understanding of UI/UX best practices

Job Type: Freelance

Pay: ₹ ₹800.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2 – 3 per week
