Masters or PG Diploma in hospital administration (MBA/PGDM/ MSW), healthcare management, business administration and social work candidates with minimum 1 year experience in NGOs/hospitals can apply for the Fellowship in eye hospital Management program. Aravind Eye Hospital will recruit suitable candidates with the above specification and offer them a one year Fellowship program in hospital administration.

This fellowship program develops the employee to become competent eye hospital administrators who can design and implement systems for effective management of eye hospitals.

The training curriculum is designed to help the participants develop the right perspectives and proactiveness for continually improving all the functions that support clinical work and enhance patient experience.

Towards this, the participants will be exposed to the basics of eye care and various clinical departments. Intensive training in functional areas Departmental postings Assignments & Projects Introduction to quality accreditation Internship (Aravind Eye Hospitals) Externship (Other eye hospitals)

At the end of this fellowship, the candidate will be able to,

⦿ Promote patient centered care

⦿ Apply evidence based decision making

⦿ Implement systems for total quality management

⦿ Demonstrate inter-personal skills necessary to be an effective manager
