Job Description:

A Senior Electrician oversees and performs installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, often leading a team and ensuring compliance with safety standards. They troubleshoot complex electrical issues, read technical diagrams, and may also mentor junior electricians. Their role requires strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and knowledge of relevant codes and regulations. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation and Maintenance:
    Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in various settings like residential, commercial, or industrial. 


  • Troubleshooting:
    Diagnosing and resolving electrical problems using appropriate testing devices and tools. 


  • Safety Compliance:
    Ensuring adherence to safety standards, regulations, and codes during all electrical work. 


  • Technical Leadership:
    May lead a team of electricians, providing guidance and mentorship. 


  • Documentation:
    Maintaining records of work performed, inspections, and maintenance activities. 


  • Technical Skills:
    Possessing a strong working knowledge of electrical systems, including troubleshooting, repair, and installation techniques. 


  • Collaboration:
    Working with other tradespeople, engineers, and contractors on projects requiring electrical work. 


  • Preventive Maintenance:
    Implementing procedures to prevent electrical system failures and ensure optimal performance.
