Accounting & Bookkeeping:

  • Handle day-to-day accounting operations, including journal entries, reconciliations, and ledgers.
  • Maintain accurate books of accounts for domestic and international transactions (B2B & B2C).
  • Manage vendor and client accounts, ensuring timely payments and collections.

2. Travel Industry Accounting:

  • Reconcile supplier invoices (DMCs, hotels, airlines, etc.) with booking data.
  • Verify service costs and ensure correctness of costing sheets before final invoicing.
  • Handle credit notes, debit notes, refunds, and commission adjustments.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies on advance payments, cancellations, and service fees.

3. Taxation & Compliance:

  • Ensure timely filing and compliance for GST, TDS, and other statutory obligations.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation for audits and financial reporting.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and government authorities as needed.

4. Reporting & Analysis:

  • Prepare monthly P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
  • Analyze revenue, margins, and operational expenses for management review.
  • Support management in budgeting and cost control measures.

5. System & Process Management:

  • Update and reconcile financial data in ERP / accounting software (e.g., Tally, Zoho Books, or company-specific tools like RedBook).
  • Implement process improvements for better accuracy and efficiency in financial operations.
  • Ensure coordination between the Sales, Operations, and Accounts teams for seamless file closure.

Key Skills & Attributes:

  • Strong accounting and analytical skills
  • Sound knowledge of travel industry accounting practices
  • Proficiency in Tally / Zoho / ERP software
  • Familiar with GST, TDS, and international vendor payments
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial documentation
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple files simultaneously.
