About the Role- We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Cloud Principal Architect to lead enterprise-wide cloud architecture, migration, modernization, and governance initiatives. This is a remote, senior leadership role requiring 18+ years of overall experience, with at least 4+ years specifically focused on designing and managing complex cloud and hybrid infrastructures. The ideal candidate has deep expertise across AWS, infrastructure automation, and cloud-native architectures, and excels at client engagement and cross-functional leadership.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide technical leadership and set the strategic vision for cloud architecture across the organization.
• Design and manage complex cloud and hybrid infrastructures with emphasis on scalability, security, resilience, and cost optimization.
• Lead large-scale cloud migration programs from on-premises to AWS, ensuring minimal downtime and business continuity.
• Architect and govern multi-account environments using AWS Control Tower, Landing Zones, and AWS Organizations.
• Champion AWS Well-Architected Framework practices and drive modernization efforts toward serverless and microservices-based architectures.
• Design enterprise-grade VPC architectures, including routing, peering, Transit Gateway, PrivateLink, VPN, DNS (Route 53), and CloudFront.
• Collaborate with Security, DevOps, Data, and Business teams to deliver end-to-end cloud solutions and standards.
• Mentor and grow engineering teams; establish architecture review processes and technical governance. Technical Expertise Core AWS Services

• Networking: VPC, Route 53, CloudFront — enterprise networking patterns Identity & Access
• Cognito, IAM, AWS SSO — identity architecture and least-privilege access models Serverless & Containers
• ECS, EKS, Fargate, Step Functions — container orchestration and serverless workflows Infrastructure & DevOps
• Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK, GitOps — IaC and repeatable infrastructure patterns
• CI/CD with GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps and automated deployments for containerized and serverless workloads Data & AI/ML
• Kinesis, Glue, EMR, Athena, QuickSight
• Databases: Redshift, RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, DocumentDB Security & Monitoring
• CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Config, Trusted Advisor, Grafana
• IAM, encryption, compliance frameworks, and patch automation using SSM

Required Experience & Qualifications
• 18+ years overall experience in IT/Cloud engineering or architecture roles.
• Minimum 4+ years specifically designing and managing complex cloud and hybrid infrastructures.
• Proven track record with AWS at enterprise scale and experience leading cloud transformation programs.
• Strong hands-on expertise in networking, security, IaC, CI/CD, and container/serverless environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management, client-facing skills, and experience leading cross-functional teams. Soft Skills
