Job Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced
Taxation Specialist
to join our team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Indian taxation, specifically with 3-5 years of hands-on experience in GST compliance and Direct Taxation. You will play a critical role in ensuring tax compliance for the firm and assisting our diverse clientele with their tax planning and filing needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct Taxation (Income Tax):
  • Preparation and filing of Income Tax Returns (ITR) for individuals, HUFs, and firms.
  • Calculation and filing of TDS returns and handling TDS payments.
  • Assisting in tax planning strategies for clients (including NRIs) to optimize tax liabilities legally.

  • GST Compliance:

  • End-to-end handling of GST compliance, including monthly/quarterly return filings (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, etc.).
  • Reconciliation of GSTR-2A/2B with books of accounts.
  • Handling GST registrations and cancellations if required.
  • Staying updated on the latest GST notifications and circulars.

  • Advisory & Support:

  • Resolving queries related to Indian taxation for clients.
  • Liaising with tax authorities and handling notices, scrutinies, or assessments under the guidance of senior management.
  • Maintain accurate tax records and ensure all statutory deadlines are met.

Key Requirements

  • Experience:
    Minimum 3–5 years of proven experience in a taxation role (CA Firm or Corporate experience preferred).
  • Education:
    Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B. Com) or higher. CA Inter / CMA Inter candidates will have an added advantage.
  • Technical Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of
    GST
    and
    Income Tax Act
    .
  • Proficiency in
    Tally Prime/ERP
    ,
    MS Excel
    (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables), and Tax Filing Software (e.g., CompuTax, Winman, or similar).
  • Experience navigating the GST and Income Tax government portals.

  • Soft Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently in an onsite environment.
  • Good communication skills to interact with clients and team members.
