Job Summary:The Accountant will be responsible for managing all day-to-day financial and accounting activities of the marble, granite, and sanitary ware shop. The role involves maintaining accurate books of accounts, handling customer and supplier ledgers, managing GST and billing, and ensuring proper control of cash flow, purchase, and inventory records.

  1. Key Responsibilities:Accounting & Bookkeeping
  • Maintain daily sales, purchase, and expense records.
  • Enter transactions in Tally / accounting software.
  • Prepare and maintain ledger accounts for customers and suppliers.
  • Reconcile bank statements, cash books, and stock statements regularly.
  1. Billing & Taxation
  • Generate GST invoices for retail and wholesale customers.
  • Ensure correct tax calculations and timely GST filing (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B).
  • Maintain records for TDS, professional tax, and other statutory compliance.
  1. Payments & Collections
  • Handle incoming and outgoing payments through bank/cash.
  • Follow up with customers for pending payments.
  • Coordinate with suppliers for due payments and maintain credit records.
  1. Inventory & Purchase Coordination
  • Track inward/outward stock entries for marble, granite, and sanitary items.
  • Verify purchase bills with GRN (Goods Receipt Note).
  • Support store manager in periodic stock audits.
  1. Reporting & MIS
  • Prepare monthly profit & loss summary, outstanding report, and cash flow.
  • Report financial position and pending payments to management.
  • Support auditors during financial year closing.
  1. Administrative Support
  • Maintain records of transport bills, loading/unloading charges, and site deliveries.
  • Assist in quotation preparation and cost estimation when required.
  • Required Qualifications & Skills:Education: B.Com / M.Com or equivalent in Accounting or Finance.
  • Experience: Minimum 2–3 years (preferably in retail, construction, or marble/sanitary business).
  • Software Knowledge: Tally ERP / Busy / MS Excel.
  • Skills:
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and GST compliance.
  • Accuracy, honesty, and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
