Position: Quality Manager – ElectronicsManufacturingWork Location: Mysore Organization: Cyient DLM Job Summary:We are looking for a results -driven andexperienced Quality Manager to lead the quality function in an EMSenvironment, with a specific focus on PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly), box build, and cable assembly operations. The ideal candidatewill manage the Quality Management System (QMS), drive process and productquality improvements, lead customer and regulatory compliance efforts, andfoster a culture of quality throughout the organization.Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Management System (QMS)Establish, implement, and maintain a robust QMS aligned with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, or other relevant standards.Ensure compliance with IPC standards (IPC -A -610, IPC/WHMA -A -620, etc.).Prepare and lead internal, customer, and third -party audits.Maintain accurate quality documentation and ensure audit readiness.Process Quality – PCBA, Box Build, CableAssemblyOversee in -process and final quality checks across SMT, PTH, reflow, testing (ICT, FCT), box build assembly, and cable harnessing.Implement and monitor quality control plans at each production stage.Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for internal and customer quality issues and lead 8D/CAPA activities.Ensure proper usage of tools like FMEA, SPC, MSA, control plans, and process audits.Customer & Supplier QualityAct as the primary interface for customer quality concerns, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.Manage RMA, NCR, and customer complaint resolution processes with structured problem -solving (8D, 5 Why, etc.).Evaluate and monitor supplier quality; conduct supplier audits and drive corrective actions.Quality Reporting & MetricsTrack and report on key quality performance indicators:First Pass Yield (FPY)DPMO / PPMRMA rateCost of Poor Quality (COPQ)Supplier defect ratePresent quality data and analysis to management and customers as needed.Team Leadership & TrainingLead and mentor a team of quality engineers, technicians, and inspectors.Provide training on quality tools, IPC standards, workmanship criteria, and customer -specific requirements.Promote continuous improvement culture across departments.Qualifications & SkillsEducation & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field.Minimum years of experience in quality leadership roles in EMS/contract manufacturing.Hands -on knowledge of PCBA, cable harnessing, and box build quality control.Familiarity with IPC -A -610, IPC/WHMA -A -620, J -STD -001.Experience with quality standards like ISO 9001, ISO 13485, IATF 16949, or AS9100 is a plus.Tools & SkillsSkilled in problem -solving tools: 8D, 5 Why, FMEA, Fishbone, Pareto, etc.Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma methodologies (Green/Black Belt preferred).Excellent communication and team leadership skills.Proficiency in MS Office, ERP/MES systems, and quality software tools.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)First Pass Yield (FPY)Defect Per Million Opportunities (DPMO)RMA/Customer Complaints per MonthAudit NCs and Closure TimeCOPQ (Cost of Poor Quality)Supplier Quality (PPM, On -Time Quality) You may share your resume to ;\/a> & ;\/a>
