We are looking for a Neuropsychologist to join our multidisciplinary team. Job Overview:

The Neuropsychologist will play a crucial role in both clinical and research activities, particularly in the development of innovative technologies that integrate neuropsychology with robotics and mechatronics. This position offers the opportunity to be involved in high-impact projects that contribute to brain-computer interfaces, cognitive rehabilitation systems, and robot-assisted neurotherapy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Neuropsychological Assessment and Diagnosis:
  • Conduct comprehensive neuropsychological assessments to evaluate cognitive functions such as memory, attention, executive functions, language, and motor skills.
  • Analyze and interpret neuropsychological test results to assist in diagnosing cognitive disorders (e.g., dementia, stroke, brain injury, neurodevelopmental disorders).
  • Provide detailed diagnostic feedback to patients, caregivers, and clinical teams.
  • Collaboration with Research and Engineering Teams:
  • Work closely with researchers, engineers, and clinicians to develop neurotechnological devices such as brain-computer interfaces (BCI), neuroprosthetics, and cognitive rehabilitation technologies.
  • Mention your expertise in neuropsychology to assist in the design and validation of neurofeedback systems, AI-powered cognitive assessments, and therapeutic solutions.
  • Provide critical insights into the cognitive aspects of mechatronic systems and help evaluate their effectiveness from a neuropsychological standpoint.
  • Clinical Consultation and Treatment Planning:
  • Assist in developing individualized treatment plans based on neuropsychological findings and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care for patients.
  • Recommend cognitive rehabilitation strategies and interventions tailored to the patient's needs.
  • Mentor junior staff and assist in training clinical interns or new hires on neuropsychological assessment techniques and best practices.
  • Research and Development Support:
  • Participate in research projects aimed at exploring new applications for neurotechnology and its role in cognitive rehabilitation.
  • Mention involvement in the design, data collection, and analysis of clinical studies or trials related to neuropsychology and neuroengineering.
  • Contribute to research publications, conference presentations, and the development of white papers or technical reports on neuropsychological findings.
  • Technology Evaluation and Innovation:
  • Evaluate emerging neurotechnological products, such as cognitive training software, robot-assisted rehabilitation tools, and other mechatronic devices used in neurorehabilitation.
  • Assist in validating new devices or therapeutic tools to ensure they are effective and meet clinical standards.
  • Contribute to the technology transfer process from development to clinical implementation, ensuring that these tools align with neuropsychological best practices.
  • Patient Education and Counseling:
  • Provide counseling and educational support to patients and families regarding cognitive disorders, treatment options, and the role of new technologies in rehabilitation.
  • Offer psychological support and help patients adapt to rehabilitation technologies, such as brain-computer interfaces or neurofeedback.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Master's degree (MSc or equivalent) in Neuropsychology, Clinical Psychology, or a related field. Additional certification or training in neuropsychology is an asset.
  • Experience:
  • 3 to 5 years of clinical experience in neuropsychological assessment and diagnosis.
  • Experience in neuropsychology or cognitive neuroscience with a focus on neurological disorders (e.g., stroke, brain injury, dementia).
  • Previous experience working in interdisciplinary teams involving neuroscience, engineering, or AI technologies is highly desirable.
  • Licensure: Must be licensed or registered as a clinical psychologist in India (Karnataka).
  • Certification: Certification in Clinical Neuropsychology (optional but preferred).
  • Skills:
  • Proficiency in neuropsychological testing, including a variety of assessment tools.
  • Strong understanding of neurological disorders and cognitive functioning.
  • Ability to interpret and explain complex neuropsychological results to a non-expert audience.
  • Familiarity with robotics, AI, and mechatronic technologies in healthcare applications is a plus.
  • Experience in research methodology, statistical analysis (e.g., SPSS, R, or MATLAB), and academic writing.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
