Security Officer

Position Overview

The Assistant Security Officer (ASO) supports the Security Officer in managing the overall security operations of KTD. The ASO supervises security guards, ensures access control discipline, monitors surveillance systems, manages incident reporting, and ensures compliance with company security policies across all KTD units (Aerospace, Medical Devices, Oil & Gas, Energy, Precision Manufacturing, etc.).

The ASO acts as the point of contact for shift-level security operations and ensures smooth & safe movement of people and materials throughout the facility.

Key Responsibilities

1. Supervision & Team Coordination

• Lead and supervise security guards during shifts
• Prepare shift schedules and allocate duties
• Ensure guards follow uniform, discipline & behavior standards

2. Access Control Monitoring

• Oversee entry/exit of employees, visitors, vehicles & contractors
• Check visitor passes, gate passes, and material movement documents
• Ensure zero unauthorized access incidents

3. Surveillance & Patrol Monitoring

• Monitor CCTV systems, alarms & security equipment
• Verify completion of patrol rounds at all checkpoints
• Identify suspicious activity and respond immediately

4. Emergency & Incident Response

• Assist in evacuation, fire emergencies, and medical incidents
• Train guards in emergency procedures and safety drills
• Ensure fire extinguishers, alarms & emergency kits are functional

5. Documentation & Reporting

• Review daily security logs from guards
• Prepare incident reports and escalate to Security Officer
• Maintain records for audits, visitor logs & access control reports

6. Compliance & Audit Support

• Enforce security SOPs, PPE rules & material movement protocols
• Assist in ISO/OSHA/Customer security audits
• Ensure adherence to company safety and security policies

7. People & Asset Protection

• Ensure safe movement of employees, materials & visitors
• Manage crowd control during events or client visits
• Prevent loss, theft, and unauthorized material movement

Required Qualifications

• 12th Pass / Diploma preferred
• Security training or ex-serviceman preferred
• 3–7 years of industrial security experience
• Good knowledge of CCTV, patrol systems, and access control
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Physically fit, disciplined, and alert
